my hair is curly and my mom keeps saying not to iron it because it'll get burned. i practically always have it curly and i want a different hair styles other than curly or straight.

I personally prefer light waves,since my straight hair looked really weird curled. The waves look good with side bangs and layers.

You can straighten it if you have a good straightner. Plenty of my friend's straighten their hair and their hair has never gotten burned. Just don't straighten your hair if you have dyed it or put in highlights or lowlights because it will take them right out. There's wavy..you could put it up in a messy ponytail or messy-bun...Half-pony tail...Or just mess around while your at home one day and try putting it up in different ways. Ask your friends for ideas as well.

i wear this hair style all the time cause my hair is curly too but then again i wear it straight so you can wear your hair both ways ,so i put some up and i put some down. so go with the way you want stright of curly.????????

Your mother is partially right, if you do not use products on your hair to protect it, your hair will get burned. You can also try smoothing shampoos to help relax your hair and give it more of a wave than a curl. You could also try talking to a beautician/cosmetologist next time you get your hair cut. They can give you good advice also.
